Final Project [Final Art Form]

This is our final art form for the project. It was done using Microsoft PowerPoint.
[Synopsis: A man who lost his job went to wait for the bus at the bus stop. While waiting for the bus, he reminiscences of his teenage years, when he was engrossed and skilled in creative multimedia. However, his father did not approve of it, so sent him to work at an accounting firm. His boss sow his lack of workmanship, and so fired him. While he looked back, all those knowledge he'd acquired those years on creative multimedia and its possibilities somehow flowed back to his mind and something happened. He was able to regain his roots and interest on creative multimedia again.]

After the essay, we are tasked to sketch 50 images from the random word 'guitar' with the design concept as our theme.

After the 50 sketches, we were supposed to sketch 5 final images. Unfortunately, some complications occurred with the work progress, leaving us to sketch only one. Thankfully it was approved.

Final Project [Essay & Design Concept]

After the mind maps, we were supposed to do a write up of minimum 800 words with the topic we've chosen, which is 'Variety of Jobs in Creative Multimedia'. As the essay is too long, we've decided to put it as a Google document for the public's viewing pleasure. The link is below.

The 1st part in our final project progress is to create a logical mind map based on the general topic 'Creative Multimedia'.

Then we had to create another mind map, now with the title we've chosen, 'Job Opportunities in Creative Multimedia'.

Lesson 5: Random word/ Image Assiociation

What is Random Word and Image Association?

Random word and Image Association is an idea generator, to help people to generate new idea trough random word.

Random Word
Random stimulate your brain for new idea. Where you can find them? You can find word everywhere, just look around. Waiting for bus in a bus stop, what you see when you waiting fro bus to arrive? There millions of word around you. Internet you can find billions of word in the Internet, you can find tons of word in books, dictionary.

Random Words works in particular by making you go elsewhere for ideas, and hence pushes you out of your current thinking rut. It uses the principle of forced association to make you think in new ways and create very different ideas.

Lecture asked us to do a exercise, we need to create something scary to solve our problem.
Problem: How to keep people away from a specific area?
Word: Kitten
Association: sharp claws, fur, fierce, mammals
Sentences: Sharp Claws- A picture shows very sharp and deathly spike in the sign post.
                   Fur              - Plant a very tall, long, itchy and furry grass around the area.
                   Fierce          - Put a fierce animal as a sign post.
                   Mammals     - Put a lion face on the sign post.

Ideas:

The long, itchy and furry grass. The grass will prevent people to go near the area.

Now make three sentences out of three word combination above.

Fly Wind: My Kite fly when Strong wind blow.

Ice Water: The Ice freezes the water.

Leave Water: I leave the class the refill my bottle with water.

Draw out three picture accordingly to your three sentences.

Lesson 4: Juxtaposition

What is Juxtaposition?
Juxtaposition mean to turn something familiar into less familiar. Example:

Tomorrow got exam, but I not planning to study.
Weather very cold, but those boy do not want to wear any extra clothing.
He feeling thirsty, but he don't want to drink water.

Analogy
Metaphor is the concept of understanding one thing in terms of another. A metaphor is a figure of speech that constructs an analogy between two things or ideas; the analogy is conveyed by the use of a metaphorical word in place of some other word. For example: "Her eyes were glistening jewels". Similes use word such as "like".
